This show contains the first known performances of "O Is The One That Is Real" and "Easy Mornin' Rebel"!
This performance took place on the same day as the WFPK Xmas Special was recorded (aired on December 25th).
When listening to this recording it could very well be a soundboard recording, but I'm not sure.
I never received information about that. If it's an audience recording, it's a very good one.
This is the last MMJ recording I received on 'old fashioned' tape. I got this in March 2002 from the taper, and after listening I knew it needed some repairing whenever I was going to transfer this to CD-R. However, this only materialized this year. In January I made the transfer to WAV, and while time went by preparing and sharing the previous volumes of the Magnix My Morning Jacket Live Recordings Archive, it sat on my hard drive. Anyways, here it is, and I think you all will enjoy this one. It's a pretty laid back performance.
Please note that there's a tape-cut at 41:37 of the complete recording, between tracks 7 and 8. No music is missing though. This was probably as it was on the original tape. My tape has another cut during track 8 (at approx. 4:51 of the track; 46:28 of the complete recording) because that's where side A of my tape ends. This is caused by the tape being dubbed while on auto-record. Anyways, the same track continues on side B, and I've glued the two parts back together, but there's a (very) short piece of music missing. It's still audible, but it's way better than having a sudden stop/cut in the middle of a song. Another cut on the tape was between tracks 9 and 10, but that's inaudible now, and there's no music missing. And finally there was a cut between tracks 11 and 12, but again that's inaudible and the music is not effected (although the time between the "thank you" after track 11, and the start of encore track 12 is pretty short now). I was supposed to get another version of this same recording on CD-R, but that never materialized. Who knows it might surface some day ... In the mean time, enjoy this!
Used software: CD Wave (for recording), CoolEditPro (for editing and 'mastering'), CD Wave (splits), and FLAC v1.1.2 as build in Traders Little Helper v1.1.1 (build 90).
