Even recording, but it sounds like there’s a wet towel wrapped around the mic. I can only assume the show was LOUD. If this is above average for MMJ then im glad i got this one...

I’ve never heard MMJ before and on a recommendation I peeped this. Im impressed with the range of material they play. “One Big Holiday” rules already. "Off the Record" here is IRIE. “Mageetah” and "Dondante" are very tight. Overall, this feels like the quintessential bar-band show.

i've been meaning to give these guys a listen for a while and...

damn after only three songs i can already tell i really dig this band. The melodies are really well put-together and they play with so much force. As long as it keeps going like this i think they just gained a fan here!

Subject: Wish I Was There
I had a couple of friends go to this show. I was unable to make it. I got to hear how good it was and that I missed it. Thank goodness for the archive. Good show, good performance. I would recommend this show. Thanks.

Subject: Finally, a decent audience recording of MMJ!
For some reason most MMJ audience recordings are murky and muddy sounding, and the mics pick up as much (if not more) crowd noise than music. Until I came across this, I haven't bothered downloading any MMJ shows, except the 11-23-05 FM, which has good sound but sloppy edits betweeen the songs. Overall, this is good stuff for an audience recording.

Subject: Great Show--These guys are good
My 1st MMJ show as well. This "tape" is fantastic. Captures all of the energy--thank God not all of the volume. My ears are still ringing. A very nice review in the NYTimes for a show a few days earlier in NYC had me at the Vogue.

I love the way some songs simply change tempo/direction and finish with a massive jam. JJ adds his solos at just the right point. These guys are good.......

Subject: Damn fine
This show was pretty awesome. My first MMJ show, and I almost drove to Cinci to see them one more time.
Run Thru was crazy loud, and they just pummel you on that track.
Good recording as well; turning down the bass really seems to help a lot.
