Notes
* The power went off in the club (and the rest of the neighborhood), during
the middle of Recreational Chemistry. After a little bit, the band set up
acoustic, unmic'd, on the floor of the club. The power went back on during
Queen Of The Rodeo.
** First time played. Picked up where the power went off.
Taped by John Ricker, with thanks to Dave Flaschner for supplying the patch
deck & DAT's for this tour.

So as soon as we realized this was a 1/2 city blackout--and not just a bunch of blown fuses in Emerald City, the club folks were scurrying around, trying to find candles and stuff. My beer had run out and because the staff was running around, they couldn't help me, so I casually reached over the bar and filled up my pitcher full of Sierra Nevada. =^D
The band went out to the bus and grabbed acoustic instruments and after enough light was procured, the band went for it. Al and Chuck on acoustics, Rob on bass being powered by one of those tiny (6" x 6") Marshall battery-powered practice amps and Vinnie whacking a cardboard box. You'll hear me asking them (in vain) to play Time Ed.
After the lights came back on, the band packed up the acoustics and went outside for a breather before they began started set 2. It was hot in the club and I went outside and ran into Vinnie and this was the transcript:
Vinnie (moe. drummer): "Here, try this." (hands me an Altoids tin full of mother nature's finest).
Me: "Oh, niiiice. Welcome to California!"
Vinnie: "No, this shit is from BUFFALO!"
Me: "Maaaan (cough cough), that's (cough) really good."
Then we went back in and they played a two hour second set monster....picked up Rec Chem right at the bridge to the jam and went for it. Awesome. The *27* minute version of Head they did was one of the best things I've ever heard moe. do.
Thanks boys!
Eric
