Subject: Help?
Subject: Help?
This was just my second ever show and it was in my top 5 of all time (out of 55 or so shows). I have been trying forver to figure out how to use an SHN converter and I can't for the life of me. If anyone has this show in MP3 format or would be willing to send me the discs in the mail I would be forever in their debt. I've wanted this show forever and have been trying to figure out many different shn converters but just can't. I used to know how to use them back in the day but just don't know what I'm doing anymore. please e-mail me im_phuct_up@yahoo.com if you have this available! Thanks!!!

I had the privledge of attending this show, and in my opinion it's in the top three of the 50+ moe. shows I've seen. I guess it's all in the individuals perception, but one of my beefs with moe. in those days was the lack of segues, and when there were segues they were predictable. This one, especially the second set, has some great jamming. Two full sets with no breaks. Sounds build off one another to form jams that almost could be songs themselves. The venue was a gymnasium, with bleachers unfolded in the back. However the sound quality, both at the show and on the recording, is exceptional. LOTS of cops, lots of rich college kids. I've never seen that many Lexus' and BMW's in lot before. Only weak spot with this show is the hurried meat. The Bullet (That Chuck Tune),
BIBH -> Water, Mexico, Buster, and of course While My Guitar Gently Weeps are the highlights. Rob sang WMGGW while sitting on a stool for some reason. The Mexico is probably the best version I've ever heard. Chuck's solo is incredible. They really caught fire at the end of '01 and this show could be the climax. If you like this show (or even if you don't) check out 11-24-01 from the Hammerstien-Now that's a hot one. Burn it, love it, spread it.

What a cool show! You know it's great when BOTH sets are one long jam, nothing but segues. Then Set II is where ya wanna be, starting with a 25-minute "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" in tribute to George Harrison who had died recently, song starts out true to form but then takes on that Moe. treatment with twists & turns, and the entire set jams throughout closing with the fastest Meat I've heard.
The sound is very good, four stars, and the performance is very good, four stars though you could say 4 1/2 or five. More great Moe. from 2001. (P.S. "Here Comes The Sun" shows up in 'Mexico')
