d2- reaches a frenzious peak of psychotic tranquility, rainbow spirals round and round then trembles and explodes...
had the good fortune of being at this one, dancing like a freak along the fringe of a mudpit.
things were strange,
the crowd was a mess,
the music was ruthless.
-then we were told to go enjoy The Dead, immediately following MOE.
and enjoy we did
5 stars - for what maybe the sickest jam I've ever been apart of.
sound could be slightly better, but it's Disc 2 rollickin jam being in recorded history that counts for this show.

Moe. rocked Bonnaroo this year with a tight show and a sweet spine>buster>pc>buster>pc. However, this recording is way too bass heavy. Crank this one up and you'll hear a lot of bass fuzz, which is unfortunate because, as mentioned, the show is great. Check out the Neumann TLM 170 source for a better sound.

I think this is a great show and great sounding discs. I haven't listened to moe in months and I put in the second disc and I quickly remembered why I like moe so much. Fantastic stuff!!

moe. HAD to kick some serious jams out in Tennessee on this day. You see. The main stage (What Stage) had JAMES BROWN. A tent not too far away had the BONNAROO JAM with Mike Gordon, Dr. John and Stanton Moore... so much incredible legendary musicians around for people to watch.
So you see.. moe. HAD to be at their best. I kept saying "I can't watch moe. I've seen them enough lately, theres other bands I need to see" but moe. would not have that.
The sounds that emitted from them on this day drew me in. Knowing full well that the closer I walked towards moe. the farther I would be from anyone else. Being at Bonnaroo is like being your own DJ where every stage is a different turntable. To hear it louder, you walk closer.
I missed 2/3 of this set. But what I did see was just sick. Sick is good. Sick is when your jaw drops from thousands of feet away as moe. creeps into your ears.
Everyone watching was hooked. Download this now and you will be hooked too.
