Subject: Dr. G >Rebubula
The Dr. Graffenberg > Rebubula in the first set is a HUGE combo. A long, but well-crafted Dr. G with tight, extended jamming finally gets slow and psychedelic enough for a minute-long "Playin' in the Band" tease (which resurfaces in Rebubula), which morphs ever so slowly into...the welcoming falling note intro of Rebubula. This one is played solidly with mini metal speed jams.
Sound quality is right on. Only gets 4 stars because the show as a whole is inconsistent.

Subject: Quality!
Besides being a great show and a great weekend, this recording is absolutely perfect. Everything is balanced well like a sbd. but with just enough crowd noise to feel the vibe. Sometimes the soundboards lack that certain energy. Thanks Jon

this tape brings out stuff even the SBD copy doesn't in proper proportions, IMO, raging sets, this is one of my all-time favorite shows, super-intense, lots of variety, excellent quality.

A very high energy show. Everyone was on point during intense jams. Sound quality is nearly soundboard. So many dimensions to the sound.

Subject: Excellent Sound
Another great Merin production. Great sound on this one, stereo separation and presence come through on a great Moe. performance. Five stars for the recording, five for the show, equals five stars in all.
In fairness, I have not compared this copy with the other guys' 9/4/04 ones posted here. Don't really need to either.
Notes
Dan hurlbut's 100th show
