Subject: killer show
Subject: killer show
i only want to add to the sentiment that moe. came dressed to kill, they ripped it from beginning to end, and the reason they wore suits was, to my understanding, b/c of their 20th anniversary as a band.
brittle end has so much power; graffenburg is funky, relaxed, and has an incredibly clean transition to jazz wank which is a great platform to launch into any moe. tune
lastly, the meat to me is particularly satisfying. if any moe.rons follow with what i'm saying the 3rd musical section of meat features chuck wailing as if he might never play guitar again; he plays like a demon up until jim takes over on malletkat. i was amazed at how much meat rocked this night, another great version on this tour is from the first set closer of 1/23/2010 (this meat jam features a guest guitarist on a double neck guitar doing some nifty fret work) but in terms of unadultered meat there are few that come as close to what chuck, al, rob, jim, and vinne were layin down this night. i give 5 stars, if for nothing else, for chucks guitar solo in meat :)

no shit the reason we weren't allowed to take anything other than water & gatorade(!!) into the theater was cuz of the antique wooden floor. so i started stompin' along to the rhythm and felt like i was the only one . i felt they could hear me. it was a great effect. also killer lite sho but how can they eat that much fog juice for 5-6 days in a row?thanx peace luv etc.

I was at that show. It ripped from beginning to end. The men in suits came out ready to kill, and they did. BTW, what's with the suits? When did they start wearing them for shows, and what inspired them to do that? I don't care what they wear, or if they wear anything, if they play like that. No keyboards, just two-guitar wailage with effects, and an awesome rhythm section.
