Subject: Hot show & a hot recording
Jim was on fire for Jump Around then and with Vinny for a small drum solo; and plenty of razor-edge solos from Chuck & Al, and a very whimsical yet wailing Brent Black and Imperial March into a sort of haunting Brent Black with Rob doing some nutzo riffing. A very colorful 1st set.
A monster 2nd set clocking in at just about 2 hours only makes this show more delectable; from the House of the Rising Sun opener through Jim's lively solo in Time Ed. The mayem continues with a scorching Moth>Rebublua>Four>Rebubula sandwich as the 2nd set closer. The Ziggy was encore was rewarding.
Both axmen clearly on fire for the performance, and both quite distinguishing in the recording.
Tones and volume are wonderful and pretty brite; and the overall mix is very balanced and extremely listenable.
Scott has once again come up with crystal clear recording - bongos & cymbals are crystal clear and Rob's bass in the solo and overall is as deep but never bleeds (and I am using bass enhanced headphones too). Vocal levels are great -
His scrubbing and cleanup have made this an impeccable recording of a very entertaining and a
top-of-my-list show.
Thanks again for all the work Scott - your efforts are appreciated.
