This was my second time seeing JJ Grey in as many days and I was very excited to see him again. His show the night before was amazing and I couldn't wait for this one. He had mentioned the night before that his day show was going to be longer and that's always nice with these shorter festival shows.
This was definitely an earlier starting show than I was used to but I was already at the side stage for the day's earlier shows (The Sojourners, Mark Hummel and the Blues Survivors and then a workshop with Teeny Tucker & The Sojourners) and was ready for my JJ Grey & Mofro fix. Even JJ mentioned how it was earlier than usual for him to be drinking beer but he was happy to finally have some good Canadian beer.
As usual, JJ's band was absolutely on fire and I really appreciated the varied set list from the night before. JJ always engages the audience with his fun and interesting stories and today was no different. The band absolutely smoked up the stage.
This was a great set by a supremely talented artist in a beautiful outdoor venue with the gorgeous mountains of British Columbia as the backdrop. You're sure to enjoy this!

No compression was used in the post-processing of this recording to preserve it's dynamic range, listenability and authenticity.
This recording will naturally sound much better cranked up loud with quality headphones!
Peace & enjoy,
