totally biased band member review
This Mojo Wire concert is unique for a few reasons:
-Only recorded instance of the band as a trio (without Adam; an unrecorded 1/26/01 show had this happen as well, and an Adam/Keir/Bryn trio played a few shows in 1998). Joe, Bryn, & I play, and I sing as well, which is okay for my songs, I guess, but is a terrible failure for the ones that Adam usually sang like Leather Boots.
-A song is repeated. I don't know why we closed with our drunk mosh version of Hallelujah, but we did, and I was not in any condition to do it by then.
-Low Tide songs played. Bryn and I had an almost non-existent side project called Low Tide, and we did an EP in 1999. Two of those songs went on to being bigger and better things- the songs played here- Whatever Gets You Going became the intro for Lightning Rod, and Saturation became the Mojo song Peak Of My Career.
Otherwise this is just an okay show. Not the same without the frontmanliness of Adam.
