Subject: Sweet, Though Incomplete
It's unfortunate that the first 1.5 songs are missing from this one because not only does the finished recording sound EXTREMELY good, but Ryan was also "feelin it" this particular night. The Bull Run is an incredible little venue which provides a great listening room with historic hospitality and ambiance... contributing factors to not only the sound quality and performance, but also the irrefutable intimacy the ensued between artist and audience. Regardless of its incompleteness, this recording is definitely a gem!
Notes
- We were late getting there and so the first track (which I think was 'You Crazy You'), as well as most of the second ('Variety'), we're not recorded. Otherwise, all tracks are 100%.
- There was some noise from an undetermined source that got into the board signal somehow, a good portion of which was removed during the Mix/Mastering process. Traces of it can still be heard on a good pair of headphones, otherwise the recording sounds excellent.
- Minor editing was performed during the 'Conversion' step using Sound Forge 6 in order to tighten up the tracks, and generally enhance the show's flow. No music, and only a small amount of talking was affected by this.
