Subject: Not the last
That's not the first time IMDB gets it wrong. The last show was on Oct. 12. 1950, but that is not the one uploaded here. About nine minutes into the show Amsterdam says, that in two or three weeks they would close for a while. This is the show from Sep. 28th, 1950. I like this show and hope to see more episodes get uploaded.

Not sure about this video, but in Hollywood for KTLA channel 5, they used the old MelVan theatre on the south/west corner of Melrose and Van Ness for the Morey Amsterdam show. I sure wish I could remember the dates, seems in the very late 1940's or very early 1950's. Seems to me that Mr. Amsterdam was a very accomplished Cello player. I alway liked his wit, he and Rosemarie were very enjoyable together.

Next to New York's WABD/WNEW channel 5, DuMont's next big station was Washington DC's WTTG channel 5. Recently I was told that WTTG still has in their archives many old DuMont stuff so chances are its out there...at least at WTTG.
Dittos with what DuMont later became..Metromedia.
For years it was said that metromedia destroyed much of their shows except for Merv Griffin's ( he owned that show ) but WTTG had in their archives Wonderama !!! The show that featured ABBA's American TV debut in 1976. Also WTTG somewhat infamous was the station that launched the TV debut of..Maury Povich. Back in the 60s and 70s he was the host of the very classy Panarama TV show. Far cry to what he does now.

This must've been about 1950. You get to see the great talent that both Maury and Art must've honed through their Vaudeville years. Very much fun to see.

This TV series ran from 1948 to 1950, Starting on CBS then moving to the DuMont Television Network (A small low-budget TV network famous for an awful show called "Captain Video"). This is one of the DuMont episodes, and features Morey Amsterdam with his co-star Art Carney. The show starts off with Morey Amsterdam singing a cute comedy song, which references several movie stars from back then. Art Carney appears in two sketches, First a sketch about what was on TV back then, along with a parody of ballet. Also featured in this episode is a cute female singer singing a forgotten but then-popular song called "You Happy People". Also their is a dance act doing a funny but dated comedy sketch. It's a funny show, And a curious mix of "Sitcom" and "Variety Show". Morey Amsterdam later played one of the main charactors in "The Dick Van Dyke Show", while Art Carney later co-starred in "The HoneyMooners".
