Subject: Who is God ? What is meant by the term God ? Whom did Jesus Christ represent ? What did Jesus Christ teach ....about Himself ?
The word ALLAH is starting to show up more, in English. In the past, it had been thought that Allah meant the One Universal Supreme Lord God Creator of the Universe. Now, however, more are understanding that this is not the claim. the term ALLAH is NOT some kind of equivalent to the Christian God. ALLAH is not a Title, it is rather a position. ALLAH is the God of Islam, and is particular and unique to the God of Islam, at least insofar as NOT being the God who is the Christian God.
This is the position of many within Islam, and it appears as though etymologically and linguistically they are correct. When Moslems refer to ALLAH, they are then refering to the God of Islam, and NOT to the God who created the Universe. IT is those within Islam who dispute that ALLAH is NOT the Christian God, and Allah is not Jehovah. Islam makes a difference between ILAH and ALLAH.
But the question then remains, about Jesus Christ, whose prophet is He ? in Whose name did He come to Earth ? What did Jesus Christ teach and affirm about Himself ?
At last, this is a good edition of the (Bible) New Testament, and it is available here. The New Testament is the Second Half of the Bible.
The New Testament is the portion that actually contains the words and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Read it for yourself, because there are many things that people believe about the Bible, that are FALSE.
You must read it personally, for yourself, in order to understand the actual contents.
Arabic New Testament - 1867 Van Dyke Edition
This is a good and accurate version. It is also MORE accurate than most of the electronic arabic versions online.
Be sure and compare the editions, EVEN the editions that have the same name. The modern editions of Arabic New Testaments are often much less accurate than the original edition (which is right here) of Cornelius Van Dyke. The original edition (which this is) does conform and (is translated from ) the original Greek New Testament used for the last 2000 years.
