don't get me wrong, i love the motet, and I'm glad they played this show, and I'm glad the taper was there, but there are better shows and better recordings of this band. doesn't deserve the lowest rating, but i probably won't pick this up again.

Subject: Great Vibe
Just saw this show after forgetting about it for a few years. Great amount of energy with these guys and a great sound. I don't know exactly how to classify the sound. Afro-beat and jazz with hints of funk? Check out this nice short show from a rare East Coast tour.

Notes

Show with Jon Stewart on Sax and
Hope Clayborn (DBBO) on Flute and Sax

Opened for The Slip

* "brand new, written by Dave Watts"
# Hope Clayborn on vocals
