so, I've made it half way thru the first set.. and I'm Floored!!! which is nothing new for me and this band but..

No joke, I've listend to a lot of music from different bands this past year so far, and I really think this is something special. I say we get it nominated and see what happens!!!!!

I wish I were there but thanks for the upload. The recording is excellent for an AUD. I would love to hear one from the board as well.

The intro is pretty funny because you can hear this cat talking about how he's going to open a burrito show in Indiana with "BLT Burritos". It's sets the stoney mood about to come.

The boys start off with a Cabbages as thick as molasses. Paul gives a glimpse of his vocal range (but not too much yet) and the show is off and running. The Rattle My Cage is full of energy and the band sound super tight. Right into a stoney, mello Negril to get everyone swaying. Desecent Kiss Me, not the best rendition but with a few unique parts. It's cool to see this song progress over the years - they always seem to find some new bits to add here and there. Pauls vocals are full on He's Gone but the band feels a bit shakey in the middle. They quickly recover and finish off strong. One Puff is huge as usual and the crowd is raring to go now. Then they get the Led out with a nice "I'm gonna Crawl" and they are back to full throttle with 1977 (which by the way is gigantic in every way). Interesting funky Bird Song that sounds great. Solomon's Gold, it's new and it's a keeper, interesting changes, can't make out all the words, but I'm sure we'll here it from now on. Cool Appalachian and a great "That's What I Said". Always a goodie with the staple Siste Rosie. A deep and haunting Bottomw and an enormous Whippin' Post.

I'm pretty sure anyone who didn't know Blotto before stood there with their jaws on the ground. To have the most talented bunch off goofballs hooked up to the best system goofballs can build, man, it's always a treat. Hopefully, our little secret wansn't let out of the bag too much. Way to go boys, you're the best!

This was my first Mr. Blotto show. Hope they come back to the quarry some time. Oh, and thanks to the bass player for the white lighting shine :)

Great job Bean. This is a sweet recording. We were there and I was waiting to see if this show came up on the archives. Thanks for letting us re-live the memories!
