Subject: Great Show
My first download from this site, and very pleased with it. Also first Sexton show I've attended. Great songs and very good quality. A must for any Sexton fan. Black Sheep was outstanding. Thanks for the free music.
Notes
Notes:
@ Reggae/Carnival Version, Raspberry Beret = Prince Cover
# Chuck Mangione Cover - guitar and muted trumpet voice
% "Johnny Cash, God rest his soul" - :-)
* You Shook Me = Willie Dixon Cover ( Also played by Led Zeppelin )
$ Absolutley no amplification. Martin brought out his Taylor acoustic
guitar, did not plug it in, and used no mic - sat at the edge of the stage,
legs dangling off like a boy in a dream - and proceeded to fill this 1,000 +
theatre with his soulful voice.
& Prince Cover
General Notes:
Whole show is Martin solo
Great crowd tonight, generally attentive during the music, offering thunderous applause between songs, and participating like they meant it.
Not the best location to tape from, but the venue offered us no other option, and it turned out well considering the circumstances.
First time in quite some time I've heard Martin do 2 separate
encores.
You will need an 80 minute cd-r to burn disc 2 of this show.
