fascinating and evocative
A fascinating collection of tracks that touches on alt-country, dream pop, singer-songwriter, ambient, found sound and several other styles and approaches, while flowing along as an engaging and satisfying whole. Some moments remind me of Van Dyke Parks "Song Cycle" both in the actual sound and in the delightful sense of whimsy. An unusually evocative and personal sounding album. Recommended.
