Heard on virtually every night of the week, depending on what market it was played in.

Had large gaps between runs in all markets.

The Mysterious Traveler was a very cheap program to produce. There were no major film stars to pay, and no shortage of radio actors who would work for minimum wage.

Subject: mixed bag
Some episodes were written by the actors, including the Mysterious Traveller himself, Maurice Taupin. The range is big .. the stories cover science fiction, crime, vengeful spirits. Some good, some bad, some mediocre ...

My favorite is 'The Man Insects Hated' ... a eccentric scientist invents a powerful insect spray! The insects hate him! Unfortunately for him it's not just the insects that he has to worry about. Unfortunately I don't see this episode here.

I enjoy the quirky ones. Want to learn about dream apples of Mars? Try 'Murder in 2952.' Rod Serling couldn't have done better.

For a standard crime drama try 'I Won't Die Alone'... It's nothing special but it's played well ... it's interesting how many stories feature caves ... and getting lost in them ...

Some are quite bad, and if you want to hear a wretched one, try 'The Haunted Trailer.'
