A compilation of some of the best beat-oriented music that has been released on Nishi. Spanning from the brittle warmth of Fasp's 'Cyl Flies' and rich-textures of Heath Yonaite's 'The Lucifer Principle' to the droning saturated guitars Hinterland's 'Divebomb' and postrock deconstructions of Colophon's 'Oh to be deployed elsewhere.'

Subject: Great Comp
This was one of the first netlabels releases that I downloaded--I enjoyed it then and continue to enjoy it now. I particularly liked the Blood and the Treasure's Treelined but the other tracks are also pretty good. Predominantly understated sounds with a dynamic quality to the whole mix--cool music.
