Vancouver-based Fasp have here a fascinating album of moving and complex IDM (that label is so meaningless now, isn't it?).
An excellent review from Goodstuff explains this release better than I can:
"Anyway, Fasp's eleven-tracker is everything but ambiguous, although the following description might not be a proof of that statement. The sound of this forty-minute slow-motion rollercoaster is lushed, non-intrusive and gently electronic. Focused listening reveals it's been taken care of the common sound-picture, therefore one can imagine there's been a bunch of hours spent on the right sound of rolling hihats while never becoming harsh. Picturing is exactly what comes to mind when letting it go on the content side. Messages are coming through picturesque and expressive structures which still keep the flow laidback and relaxed.
At the end of array of tracks that never really exceed four minutes in length one can get the feeling this is somehow mature and unpretentious album that explores while entertains, stays still while it moves, is being subtle and mysterious while not really hiding anything, it references while being trully original."

Subject: Night-listening
This is a great night-listening album. I listen to it when I walk around my campus at night. I put the track Ghh on my netlabel podcast (www.tuneintuneout.com)

Subject: odd stuff
a good refresh though i guess, at the very least stream a little of it to try it out...
(would have given it four stars, but I would have like deep dark gothic poetry with these songs, or something to give a deeper context)
