Lake of Flowers ProductionsNiyama-seva Parikrama (2005)

Niyama-seva, occuring annually in October-November, is a one-month period during which followers of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition embark on pilgrimage, often to the sacred land of Vraja, leading a simple life full of austerity and increased spiritual practices. In the village of Radha-kunda, parikrama-processions go around the village to the accompaniment of kirtan, with visits to different temples, are a daily event. This video features one such event, with a stop on the way at Varakuli Mandir for an adhivasa-kirtan.

Subject: One of the Best
My first download from the Lake of Flowers series, this video remains in the upper escelon of my myriad favorites, and is a must-download for those devotees who cannot make it to Vraja for Niyama Seva this year.

Follow Sanatana Das Babaji and the other worshippable residents of Radha Kunda in circumambulating the area around Radha's holy Lake. Sing along in the kirtana, and try to follow the energetic Hindi bhajans bursting with the flavors of Braja. Radhe Radhe!
