I missed this show unfortunately. School night and a long way from home. However this recording by Dr Bob is the next best thing to being there. You hear the clink of the glasses, the individual comments by the few people there in attendance, and even Fritz calling out for Fearless! That is not to say that there is a lot of crowd noise. There were only a hand full of people there. It's just that between songs things get quiet. Jeff and Phil talk directly to and with the people there. It's cool!

If you like White Sky Rain, you will love this version. AMAZING is all I can say about that.

You will hear the first public performance of another new new monsoon favorite Water Vein.

There are a number of songs new monsoon has not played as well as what Jeff describes as a new tune that Phil is working on. They play an instrumental version, though it is supposed to have lyrics.

If you'd like something unique yet monsoon, this is one of those. GET IT!!

Notes

One long set

It was 2 hrs of pure bliss in Fritz's living room...it's great hearing the
core of the songs, prob as they were composed, with the multilayers of NM
peeled back-I'll never forget years ago seeing Springsteen do Born in the
USA w nothing but his acoustic guitar...I love Jeff's tone on the
acoustic...Phil played guitar, mostly rhythm, on about half the songs-and
was very adept...I also enjoyed his piano in spots where he normally plays
organ w NM, ie Rock Springs...White Sky Rain is my new fav, an awesome
tune...great hearing Hold on for Now live-very pink floydish to my
ear...hey, Houston-do you need a tape?...that's all for now-4hrs sleep last
night, much like the nights of the Indy and Earthdance...will be at Santa
Barbara Fri!

Dr Bob
