I guess you'd understate it if you say...
Love this era for these boys. Marmaduke was pumping songs out like a machine and they were great, or leastwise, they were good. Throw Jerry in the mix "learning" the pedal steel and you got pure gold! Peter Rowan always fit in nice. Sometimes the rest of the fellas from the dead would make cameos and that was fun. Bobby doing Sawmill. NRPS has had a lot of different line ups, but this is by far my favorite!

Jerry is on fire. I dare you to listen to "Connection" and then not download the whole show.

As far as quality goes... c'mon... It was 1971!! Very early in splitter development...

Subject: A lovely show
I prefer the New Riders with Jerry on pedal steel.
Absolutely perfect.
Subject: Outstanding!
All this for free! Highly recommended as it does not get any better than this in my book.

Subject: Great Stuff
Would give it a 5 but that is reserved for historical performances (Hendrix at Woodstock, Dylan at Newport...you get the idea) The sound quality here is amazing considering it is 1971. The separation is noticable. Marmaduke is in great voice. Dryden's drumming is danged near perfect. Garcia seems so fresh and unencumbered by his Dead persona (which is something, considering he took the stage with them mere minutes later). It is just a joy to listen to. Fine, fine American Music.
Highlights:
Workingman's Blues, Fair Chance to Know, Glendale Train...but hell, its all real good.
