Nikita Golyshev & Sergey LetovNikita Golyshev & Sergey Letov "Live at NCCA" [ns53] (August 27, 2006)

This is a live set of grandmaster of improv musiv and free-jazz, sax and flute multiinstrumentalist Sergey Letov, and experimental electronic artist Nikita Golyshev at National Centre for Contemporary arts in Moscow, Russia.

Deep drones and gentle noises, high pitched sines and scratches, glithes and field recordings with amasing explosions of free saxophone.

One of the most beautifull examples of russian free art.
Music that becomes new every time you listen to it.

Golyshev has in a very short time matured into a formidable artist and his contribution gels perfectly with the saxophone wails of Letov, himself a living legend. The recording is top notch. A great balance of carefully arranged sonics with lively improvisation. Structured soundscape combined with free music, without the hangups of either genre. I wish there was more...
