bad loopBad Loop - Luo - [one018] (April 18, 2005)

try new player!embedding and help

This flourishing shuffled step and melodic craftsman from Finland proves his commitment to taking his style to new heights and quality with Luo. An achievement inviting you to quietly listen and enjoy a comfortable and catchy groove with its adventurous instrumental adornment, thoughtful melodies, spiraling synths, playful/pragmatic percussion, and bouncing bass. bad loop's intent to create a solidly cohesive listen from begining to end has paid off.

It's nearly been three years since his last acclaimed netreleases through Kahvi, easily making this one of the most anticipated releases by our staff and others already familiar with his music.

Really great electronics here. Kinda like Ulrich Schnauss meeting Kraftwerk in my ears, if that makes any kind of sense at all ;) Anyway, anyone into artists like Sleepy Town Manufacture will have a nice time here too. This music is melodic, playful... wonderful :)

Headphone music meets the festival.
Warm senses of banco de gaia in his 'Last Train to Lhasa 887' flashing in the background of 'Nio' at the start, warm incompassing rhythms that marry a trance-techno relationship of old-skool style memories. Petteri Karjalainen was possibly a child born of trance (I do not know enough), but we do not live there. Life is conformism, round and round, love, unlearning things, past, music spacialility of mine and yours. Bad Loop has richly produced a delicate spacely placed album with warm washy bass that can be overdriven to great effect.
What can I say, I'm an electro boy at heart and this is all I thought trance was going to be as a kid.

I like bad loop's tracks since the first release at kahvi collective. And it's been a while from his last release at kahvi, but also in this one, his taste and style are still there. Amazing and beautiful tracks. I like especially "eri valeire" and "kauniit ihmiset".
