textadventure is David Roy and Steven Scott from Glasgow in Scotland. Their music consists of davids gentle folk guitars, computer game influenced casio keyboard lines, electronic beat programing and experimental noise, all being carried along by stevens bittersweet vocals about love and murder. The result has been described as Happy-sad tiny-epics.The "Fantastic Disaster" ep is a collection of brand new exclusive tracks embracing the whole textadventure sound, finishing with a cover version of the classic Silver Jews track "Tide To The Oceans".

Text Adventure's debut album, "The Golden Portion" is available now on our parent-label, Skylab Operations.

Subject: So beautiful

I love this release. It has been the soundtrack of my last summer. Makes me think of Pink Floyd with an electro/glitch pop flavour.

Remember how you used to laugh when you see kids playing on one of those casio keyboards at the mall? Well, I did. I guess the subject matter isnât as laughable on this EP as it is gorgeous sounding. The Text Adventure from Glasgow, Scotland brings to us a electropop EP filled with casio keyboard melodies, folk guitar sounds and cute vocals. Yes, you heard that. I said cute. The vocals are cute, the sounds are cute, the whole album is pop gold for your soul. Playful but nonsensical lyrics like âIâll be the scarf around your neckâ complete the magic.

Favourite tracks:
Iâm a Shoe, I miss you
Titles do matter in songs. They change your perception. This shoe got my attention. Although the song talks more about a robot than a shoe.

Kill Meow
The Casio keyboard patch used for this track got my attention. This track stands out from the whole album because it sounds so different. It has something to do with that casio keyboard I tell you. The line âNo Need for Umbrellasâ

An oustanding example of tradtional boundaries eclipsed by diachronic sound sculpting. Characteristic of Nam June Paik and Rocketship, Text Adventure fills our yellowing-woes with shimmery diamonds and a familiar emptiness.

Subject: Wonderful

Some of the absolute best Creative Commons-licensed music I've heard. "Kill Meow" and "If It Could Talk..." are stand-outs. Very great, mellow, emotive, evocative, fragile, beautiful, touching art.

A refreshingly happy piece in the electronic scene, especially here in Netlabel land. Nice driving music, well produced.

...at least compared to other netaudio releases.
I just like this mixture of guitarres, singing and electro sounds.

Subject: neat electronic pop

this is a very nice release from observatoryonline. the electronics, at parts, sound like an hypothetic soon-to-come postal service's album (kill meow), while the vocals (and their slight treatment) remind me of jon anderson in his collaborations with vangelis. i highly recommend this to all the tamborello's lovers.

Subject: Utterly brilliant!

This Ep is really fantastic with a special mention for "Kill Meeow", which is one of the best songs i've heard so far. Anyone covering a Silver Jews song desserve 5 stars anyway...

Subject: Genius indietronica

This is really, spectacularly good indietronic music, with the bleeps of the electronic fiend, and the acoustic guitars and quite vocals of the shoegazing indie crowd - fantastic, not a disaster.
