Rushed versions of the classics
CBS offers you ESCAPE ...
Obviously from the titles we see they cover many famous stories ... they introduce them adventures, but I wouldn't call 'The Fall of the House of Usher' an adventure!
I'm slowly making my way thru them. 'Leiningen vs the Ants' is spoiled by the clumsy use of swells of dramatic music following every action of Leiningen.
'The Fall of the House of Usher' ... being a huge Poe fan, I have heard a number of performances of this story and this version starts off ok, but about half-way one realizes they're compressing the story awkwardly.
Further, the voice of Usher's boyhood friend is deep and monotonic and it overshadows the Usher character completely. Plus it doesn't belong in a story such as this. It's more suited for narrating a movie trailer.
