This is one of the classic July 2001

This is as up front a recording as one is apt to find these days. Terrific performance. Terrific 'pull'
I can only suspect that Waggy here didn't even listen to the show and this recording in question. Fwiw, it's been in constant play of late in my deck.

I do believe this source is from my master d5 recording.I was patched out of Oktava MC012 (cardiods) -> Grahamm-Patten DMIC-20.Thank you Grahamm.I used to seed shows through my ole buddies at the Morning Dew website via WBAI in new york.I didn't realize this was up until Digby was seeding the Q from 2001 on etree, summer 2014.What solidified my decision was the simple fact that this source shares the same two cuts that i have.I remember Grahamm leaning over to me and saying that's why go digital after my ist flip;and i said I'll never give my D5!

Downloaded this and was not too excited by it. Sound quality to me a is a little distant and the show just really doesn't catch fire for me. Blues for Allah is however way cool. I much preferred the Merriweather show a few days later both performance and sound quality wise.
I put the jam>blues for allah.end of show as filler for the short disc from Merriweather. Worked for me.
so many jams, so little time.

Subject: Mid-Winter Blues-Buster!
Subject: Mid-Winter Blues-Buster!
This was an extraordinary surprise and really brightened up my day after listening to the streaming versions. After downloading and translating the FLAC files, I can tell you this is a great show with nice jams. The surprise is the sound quality -- while we all look for SBD as a "flag" for quality, this was a nice little diamond found in the "vacuum cleaner dust-bag of recent uploads". Sounds like you are sitting next to the band on stage at times! Thanks to the "mystery source" but certainly to the uploader!
