Reviewer:kh4n - - July 2, 2009 Subject: reviews from The Music Lounge and EARLabs This is fantastic! The tracks are suave, sexy and just raw enough that the residue left behind after listening keeps you intrigued for another taste. I dig.

The debut release of 2006, number seventeen (with six more to follow), got the year off to a hard hitting start with Blake Markle’s (Blakkar Noir) “Tsunami Tendertimes” whose three experimental, breakbeat tracks will cause you to break a sweat just from listening.

Reviewer:gratisvibes.com - - December 11, 2006 Subject: Reviewed on Gratisvibes.com If you enjoy the humour present in sexually themed albums but sexually themed Belgian New Beat is a bit too harsh for you, then you may find Tsunami Tenderness to be just the correct prescription for you.
Strictly speaking, the music is not blatant in exhibiting its sexuality. Weâre not assaulted instantly by moans and grunts of sexual activity, but instead are slowly but surely introduced to these sexy elements hidden in the mix. As a matter of fact, if you didnât know the theme of the album, you may not even have associated this EP with any sort of sexuality.
So, indeed, it is safe to play this even if you have minors around the house. The album has a lot of nice breaks and the groove is excellent for the most part. Interestingly, the sound transitions to almost lo-fi breakcore on the later parts of all the tracks which provides for another sort of listening experience.
Great track: 01. Flowers Suite Lots of breaks here to hold your attention. The simple organish pads offer enough melodic content to keep you happy while the breakbeats and decimated vocals work their magic. Watch out for the screeching sound at the 09:55 mark and at the end of the track though which is certainly effective as a musical device but surely not something most people want to hear at full volume.
