Subject: Better than expected
I just streamed the concert's second half. The interpretations of Dead tunes are given a very Phish-liike workout. No disrespect, but we have a much tighter rhythm section here, so the music feels a whole lot more grounded when Trey wails. The jam in Bird Song rocks as only Trey could, and the Slipknot is a certain highlight. If you're looking for repretitions on how the Dead interpret these tunes, don't look here. It's a whole other band.

This show sounds pretty tight, lil boomy but really good. Only thing is Trey dropped the ball, restarting Row Jimmy.

Subject: Fun, but not quite as good as the night before.
I wouldn't say it was much different from the night before, the biggest difference is the comparrison of an outdoor show as opposed to an indoor show. The quality of music wasn't much different between the two performances but it was much louder in the Orleans arena. The highlight for me at the double down stage was Row Jimmy, and mountains of the moon at the Orleans, everything else was just mediocre at best. Cheese at night was a far better experience than both, but then again I am a die hard Jerry fan and I am little biased toward anything I have seen since he died, so it's hard for me to get too excited over anything less.

Subject: Good Grief
Tough call...Be compassionate and grateful for their phenomenal performance the night before and all they have given us over the years or rip them a new one for one of the most underwhelming sets of music ever played by such a great ensemble of musicians. Would somebody please keep Trey away from Vegas? You needed the jaws of life to wipe that stupid,wasted, I haven't slept in three days,look off his face. Bless you Phil for the effort, but quite frankly, this show was bordering on embaressing. Don't waste your time on this one, troops, many a finer show be found.
