Spine title in gilt over red leather square. Spine includes decorative device of the Boston Public Library in gilt near tail. Front pastedown includes ex libris (bookplate) of the Boston Public Library (featuring the seal of the city of Boston), including accession number, shelf number, and accession date in (faded to brown) black ink script. Front matter includes collective title page, bearing the seal of the city of Boston at its head, with "Pamphlets. French Revolution" in black ink script. Leaf following collective title page bears shelf number, accession number, and accession date in pencil. Copy itself printed on antique laid papers featuring vertical chainlines and horizontal wire lines. Title page includes markings in pencil. Rear pastedown includes partial remnants of affixed library due date label, & blue ink stamp of the Boston Public Library Bindery (dated "OCT 8 1881") at head-/fore-edge
