THIS IS AN ESSENTIAL DOWNLOAD
PHIL IN OREGON HAS BEEN AWESOME SINCE 1968 WHEN THE DEAD GIGS AT EUGENE WERE USED ALONGSIDE STUDIO CUTS TO PRODUCE THE AWESOME AND UNDER-RATED ANTHEM OF THE SUN ALBUM.
A BLISTERING VIOLA LEE KICKS OFF WITH A VERY LONG ALTHEA - JACKIE AND LARRY TRADING TELEPATHIC LICKS. A STUNNING SUPERB NEW SPEEDWAY WORTH THE DOWNLOAD ALONE AND A SWEET HELP>SLIPKNOT>FRANKIN'S TO END - 33 YEARS ALMOST TO THE DAY WHEN IT WAS FIRST PREMIERED IN SAN FRANCISCO TO BREAK THE DEAD'S YEAR LONG HIATUS.
THIS BAND IS CURRENTLY THE HOTTEST TOURING THE USA AT THE MOMENT - YOU JUST GOTTA SEE THEM - 42 YEARS DOWN THE ROAD AND PHIL JUST KEEPS ON ASTOUNDING ME - A QUINTESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE FROM THE MASTER. ENJOY. CHEERS DEAN - WE OWE U LOTS!!!

Unfortunately the tapers were corralled into a lousy spot. This sounds exactly as it sounded at the venue towards the back - usually the crystal allows recording in a much kinder spot. It's well worth the listen

well, all the echo and reverb reverberating that you would expect under the balcony in the deep corner pocket is there.
eye-witnesses on etree report a dearth of fob tapers so . . . this might be the nature of the sound for the audience-ophiles.
too bad, it's a 5 star show for historical symmetry at any rate.
