Subject: Ah the good ol' days
Thanks for the upgraded version...my Maxell 90's have taken a beating over the last 8yrs. For anyone who was at the legendary Bayou that night (may she rest in peace), the band was about as good as they ever were with the original lineup...the 37+ minute Identity says it all. I never thought the boys got the credit they deserve as musicians. Bottom line - phenomenal show, and a must download for anyone wondering what these guys are really all about.

Two small notes: The first track, listed as "new song", is the old (and IMHO, the better) version of "Salsa", and the second "new song" came to be known as "Sexy", neither of which made the cut for Shine, but were fan favorites for these couple years (FYI, another great version of Salsa can be found on 10/10/99 from the Recher Theatre).

Subject: The best
This is the best Pat McGee Band has to offer. If you only ever download one PMB show, this should be it. Take away the fact that the amazing John Popper sat in on almost the entire show, and you'd still have amazing performances of Identity (over 30 minute jam), Diamonds Medley, Salsa, Passion, and Rebecca.

The energy level of the band is off the charts, even for them. The recording does a good job of capturing the energy. Unlike some soundboards, you really get a sense of being there in this recording.

This is PMB at their best - hell, this is MUSIC at its very best. Download it now, you will not regret it.
