"Memorias de un calabozo" is a compilation co-produced by Alisu, Impar Netlabel & Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel.
This production is inspired in the intervention of photography and experimental music which took place in 2004. This intervention consisted of the developing of creative processes through the occupation of the Cultural Park "Ex-Carcel of Valparaiso" and through the fact of giving it a new meaning.
Driven by this experience, Alisu took sound samples by experimenting at the Ex-Carcel. These samples were given to the musicians invited to participate in this project. From all this "Memorias de un Calabozo" was born.
We are deeply grateful for the cooperation of all the musicians involved. We especially thank Daniel Nieto for his masterization work. We thank Alfredo Higuera for his cooperation to take the sound samples. We also thank the School of Photography "Camara Lucida" for inviting us to take part of that experimental sound intervention which moved us to develop this present production.
