thomas jaldemark from jönköping (.se) made a brilliant reflection of the contemporary times, the increasing polarity in worldwide politics, and as one result of it the unnecessary armed-attack of iraq. regardless the misery of the thematics, his dark and clean ambient unfolds warm chords as a sign of hope and is full of variations and details.
besides his projects in industrial-music and the track for the realaudio-ambient-compilation, thomas jaldemark already released ambient as "etcetc" on autoplate.org and thinnerism.com. currently living in berlin he concentrates on his software only production studio.

Thomas Jalemarks Stil und Geschmack für düsteres Ambient gefällt mir. Leicht gestörte Klänge fügen sich zu einem dunklen Bild der Zerstörung. Leider sind mir die Lieder zu unterschiedlich laut, so daß es nur vier Punkte gibt.

Realaudio puts out quality releases and "Nuclear Weapons Still Out of Sight" is no exception, but this one is different: deep, dark, forbidding, cold ambient. As I listen to the first three tracks, my mind conjures disturbing images of nuclear winter, death, destruction, sadness, suffering, and hopelessness. Only in the final track is there a feeling of hope and a touch of warmth - maybe resolution? This is dark ambient of the highest kind. Along the same lines, check out his tracks (as etcetc) 'En Natt Med Fulmane' on the "Bauhaus Comp" [apl001] and '0' on "Constructions for Andrey Kirtchenki" [apl006].
