Thanks for getting this up so quickly. I was so psyched to see this setlist, but like piano man...was very less than blown away. But, you know what, Ryan is human. I think he has been "ON" for most nights of the tour that I have heard-and that is impressive. His voice fell flat and was a bit lifeless on this show. This can be caused from lack of sleep, playing every night for hours, a bad beef taco or bad sound monitors. I don't think Ryan is in a slump, I just think it was an "okay" show instead of his usual stellar performances. I can't wait to hear Atlanta.

PianoMan - I'll definitely agree with you here, in that the low end is lacking in the recording. In a small venue like this, that's usually what you get with a SBD patch. I like the stereo imaging, though. I think I would have preferred running my mics instead, as I usually prefer a more natural sound. Still, very nice of Ryan to allow us tapers SBD patches.

Much Thanks for getting this up so quickly. Drove from Madison, WI to catch this one. Although Ryan was a little surly and annoyed with his new in ear monitoring system, it was still a darn good show and well worth the 8 hour drive. Lots of rarities and semi-rarities, plus an acoustic set to end out the night.
Piano Man, I totally understand your perspective.

Subject: Not Bad, But Where's The Bass?
This is a nice recording, but compared to shows like 9/21/07 and 07/11/07, sounds thin and dimensionally flat to me.
I think Ryan needs a vacation. To me, he sounds rough and wild, and the music has lost a bit of the detail we heard from last year all the way up to September of this year.
The music is still great of course, but unlike in September, everything seems a bit rushed, like Ryan's getting a bit bored. He's changing his vocal delivery, which is never a bad thing, but he seems kind of all over the place. "Resuce Blues" in particular has lost so much of its sweet soulfulness that it's sad. This song used to be a powerful wave of emotion, but now it sounds merely like a song.
I'm not done listening to this show yet, but on first impression, I'm not likin' it as much as stuff from earlier this year.

Subject: Great show!
Thank you so much for taping this show and getting it up here for posterity. About half way through the first set I thought "dang, I hope somebody is getting this on tape..."
The first set was a rocker, electric, with Ryan Adams really in a good mood and letting it rock. The second set he came out and sat down (almost falling off his chair) and played out the set on an acoustic guitar. Rare hits like "La Cieniga" were played and RA took it to church.
