Subject:
weird etherial tones and synths
weird 'ambient' / etherial music. kinda like the stuff you'd see in a haunted house playing from the corner. just random stuff with loops and weird voice overs. Bravo to the dude for making a collection of stuff from archive.org and putting his 'mix-tape' out there. When I read the description I thought this would be like many mix-tapes I've had before with fun songs of a rock / indie variety. but this is more a mix tape of dark moody etherial ambient music. I guess his description is true, i just had a different mental image of what it would all sound like. Also know that the VBR.m3u ("hi-fi") file actually contains both the 64k mp3 and vbr mp3 files, instaed of just the VBR mp3's.

Not bad...
Not bad ambient/noise jams. I found most of the sounds pleasing.
Oh, and I'll just keep listening to it on xmms, thanks. ;)

Not My Cup of Tea
I downloaded this on a whim because I thought it may be interesting as I have always had a fondness for mix tapes. Unfortunately, this was not what I expected. It's nothing more than a bunch of synthesized music. I'm not saying it's bad, but just that it isn't what I expected. If anyone remembers the old 70's sci-fi show Space 1999, this sounds exactly like the music they played whenever anything strange or mysterious happened.
In the future I'll learn to use the streaming audio to preview before downloading.
