Subject: Still relevant 100 years later
This book represents an incredible mathematical effort. The author must have calculated the contents of the tables for many months using a book of trigonometric functions and hand computations. While these methods may be considered archaic by today's standards, the results are still valid and very useful in my practice as a professional land surveyor. My printed copy of this book has instantly become one of my most highly valued possessions. The most amazing part of acquiring this work was the five-minute process of finding and downloading. Without the Internet, the proverbial needle in the haystack is a trivially simple problem by comparison.
