AnantaAnanta - Four Ways Of Redemption [rain010] (October 1, 2005)

This is the 10th release of the RAIN netlabel. But not only because of this it's special. This recording brings almost 5 hours of unique music.
Just try to imagine this landscape: a lake covered with unsearchable mist, surrounded by a dark forest...And finally inside the lake but also somewhere around - there is the abyss.
The abyss of dark, disturbing nightmares, silent voices and undefinable shapes.

We hope you will enjoy these soundscapes.

Subject: Fantastic
Martin Dot is unquestionably the master of the longplay ambient form. He constructs the most mesmerizing and deep soundscapes and sustains the vision over timeframes others would falter at. And his pieces are perfectly paced, with superb structure and evolution. There are a lot of ambient longplays out there that just go ON and ON and ON, but Martin Dot's pieces FEEL like they should be this length. Amazing. This is one of his best releases too, VERY highly recommended.

Subject: Crazy long and very good
You must have an extreme amount of patience to withstand this release, with each song clocking in over 5 hours it will take just about an entire day to listen to it all. well worth the listen however if you are very bored or have nothing better to do, i would recommend this for most dark ambient fanatics, but not so much for the new and impatient listeners

Click in and drone out. Very nice and horrifically leading.

Deep and dark and sometimes not so dark. I am completely transported when I listen to this music. Which I guess is the point. The star rating only goes up to 5 but this is a six.

Subject: VERY creepy
I'm not gonna kid around, this series of soundscapes is pretty disturbing. Deep, fascinating, very very mysterious, but disturbing, especially The Mist and The Abyss.

The Forest, on the other hand, is an excellent sound-journey which has a very unique feel, and is not particularly scary. I recommend that one as the best.
