Martin DotMartin Dot - For You [rain014]

She was ill. Laying in her bed. Her beloved white roses weren't there to help.
Without roses the solitude is much greater. The day was fourteenth and the month was second.
She was waiting for a long time. Each minute was a long time. Without roses even seconds were called long.
She did not know what to await for.
Then the roses came. Enclosed within a flat surface, shattered and streamed into barely visible dots.
But they were. They were audible. They had no scent, no look, no aura. But they could be heard.
So she filled her ears with roses. The illness disappeared soon.
All this for her.

Subject: Brian Eno anyone?
This stuff is fantastic.

Subject: Ambient with which you cannot go wrong
This is the kind of ambient music everybody likes. Imagine a marble pavillion by a placid lake in evening...white roses surrounding. That is the feeling I get from this very nice piece.

The author seems to be avoiding any dramatic turns in this music, which is a fine choice. It lends to these works more of a feeling of "place" than "music". A sanctuary, as other reviewers have said, where you can go to feel peace before heading bravely out again into the fray.

track 1 is truly speciel music.

Subject: Another Awesome Martin Dot Release
Once again martin Dot proves he is a leader in this genre, creating beautiful. flowing ambience with a very romantic edge. The piano never takes over to the point it becomes too dramatic, but instead reinforces the romantic and elegant transitions of sound with uplifting gentle keys.

Subject: Relaxing Improvisions
For three evenings now these five minimal piano improvisions have been a source of relaxation and pleasure for me bringing a few appreciated moments of calm and contentment into an otherwise hectic life. Even though the notes and chords are improvised, there is a deliberateness here - an innate sense of purpose within the sparsely played piano where the space between sounds is as important as the sounds themselves. Gentle reverberating tones create a soothing atmosphere inviting self-reflection and providing a means of respite from the drudgery that often accompanies the routine of daily life.
