Subject: Chemical
This is the ambient i prefer. These chemical nuances of spooky sounds is definatley for people who like darker ambient.
It's even more interesting to listen to the tracks while thinking of the strange Track-Names.
Definatley a five!

Subject: Brilliant
Altus is one of my all time favorite ambient artists, and this release just showcases his amazing breadth of talent. Very much like Robert Rich, Altus cannot be pigeonholed into any one ambient subgenre, and his every new release is a fresh excursion. Highly recommended.

Subject: Definitely worth a listen
If one doesn't like this genre of music, then it is difficult to understand why one would bother voting - may as well summarily give all dark ambient music low ratings.
This piece is about sleep and the mysteries that we find there. Some of these mysteries and revelations, while others are unpleasant. This music travels through the mind, exploring hidden places that we cannot remember when we awake.
Rapid Eye Movements is a sonic journey that allows one to visit places they may not have thought to travel, and is more than worth the download.

Subject: Dark ambient.
This sounds more like a nightmare than a dream. I have to admit I am more a fan of either mellow or meditative soundscapes (like rain016, rain014, and rain005) than dark ones. So, I give this a two.
