There is quite an organic feel to Rewind Wonderland's electronic hum, and one can only speculate as to where the sound sources originate from. Whether it's the sequenced guitar sparks on "A Deeply Rooted Fear Of Trees", or the warm electric piano of "Professional Impulses", the quartet weave a lush tapestry of sharp-cornered rhythms and smooth harmonic lines. This is a warm, full sounding album, shimmering nicely across the spectrum. Solid and comfortable low end, with occasional friendly winks from the high end. This is the kind of ambient I have in mind when I think the word "ambient"...
