These compact August 2007 shows are real pressure cookers! This recording is outstanding, and from start to finish, the jamming is cohesive, daring, and energetic. Bob is in truly great form. Tough to choose highlights since there's not a single weak point, but I'd say the opening Jam, Althea, Ashes, Slipknot!, and the closing sequence of China > Rider / E: Ripple are especially sweet. I'd be remiss not to mention Quinn the Eskimo and Foolish Heart as well. Weir, Lane, and Kimock really send things into the deep end at certain points with their trademark psychedelic splendor, and the appearance from Derek is just gravy! Those of you who attended are lucky dogs! Add this one to your collection.

I had not been to a show in a while and we made sure we didn't miss this one, considering it was w/ the Allmans. From beginning to end this show was a gem! Not to mention we had great shrooms and I was lookin to clean the pipes out! I danced my ass off like it was my job! A real shake ur bones kinda set! I remember jumping out of my seat when I heard Eskimo and dancing in the isleways. Then foolish heart man! I literally cried my eyes out during this song man! I had recently found out that my 2 children, 8 and 6 yrs. old, were not mine, biologically that is. And this particular song really brought it home! Of all my years seeing the Dead i've never done that, I heard of people having revelations and all but this was a very touching show for some reason. I'm listening now and this is a fantabulous recording man. the piano really kicks face in women smarter man!!!! Enjoy!!!! peace!

I too was at this show, with my 8.5 month pregnant wife. We had a blast. Thunderstorm was insane. Lucky for us we had seats in the covered area. Women opener was awesome. Enjoy!
