ryonktryonkt - the world that was surrounded by a deep forest and warm light (January 24, 2008)

ryonkt is Ryo Nakata, well-known for his great releases on Dog Eared Netlabel, Noise Joy and Mandorla. Equipped with guitar and notebook, Ryo creates dreamy and relaxed music between minimal folk and ambient.

"the world that was surrounded by a deep forest and warm light" is a peaceful and easeful place. It is a kind of arcane space in everday life, but easy to find with a bit of relaxing. Listen to the repetitive guitar chords, slightly moving in each passage. The fragile melodies, build with just a few tones, protected by a fine layer of delays, will guid you to this world.

Take a break and enjoy this great journey.

one of the best artists i have come across in the past year - his latest label 'slow flow rec' is great and could be a really superb ambient label. his own releases are wonderful and minimal - kind of folksy beautiful drone. hard to define but very nice work.
