Calarco / Juarezcalarco/juarez - tierra abierta (June 12, 2008)

Two great artists from Argentinia teamed up for a massive 14-minute sound piece: Juan Jose Calarco and Adrian Juarez. Both artists are wellknown from many releases on multiple Net- and CDr-labels all around the globe.

"Tierra Abierta" is a subtle composition. The essential groundwork on this release, holding everything together, are fieldrecordings. You can hear many natural sound like rain, creaky woods, whistling winds and rustling leaves. This earth-bound ambience is arranged artfully with generated sounds which are layered and woven together with the fieldrecording-material. The calm before the storm.

Just until the thunderstrom discharges...
