Subject: Summer Of Love In Lowell
Felt very fortunate to be inside the ropes for this one. Perfect layout. Ive been to allot of shows in Mass over the decades. From Hendrix & Zepplin in Framingham to Bob Marley & Springsteen in Lenox, Grateful Dead down on the Cape To Zappa at the Music Hall,ELP at The Hatchshell & Tull at Tangalwood & today Ratdog in Lowell... Thanks Bob Weir & all who put this together. All Theres Left TODO Is Smile Smile Smile

Subject: on the road with ratdog
this is one of the strongest ratdog shows I have heard. A special event indeed,Bob crafted a set list that captures the feel of the book..from the opening jam>a strong cassidy the band is in the moment, even standard tour worn tunes like mexicali have a lil extra zing, check out Jeffs piano. the highlight is the other one for sure.. it is an over the top version on its own, but with Dennis Mcnally adding the closing pages of on the road during the jamit pushes the song in a special direction, Dennis changes the name to neal cassidy... and than Bobby takes over with his classic line...an excellant show well recorded I like the gusto of the "live" feel, the sbd lacks that.. thanks again..we can only hope Kimock continues to enjoy the ride with ratdog, hope Mark is doing well, but KImock has that something extra.. and rumor has it he never rehearsed with the band ,thanks for the fine show.

Subject: Good vibes...
Great night in Lowell! Highlight for me was Stagger Lee, its always nice to see Bobby bring back Jerry tunes. Kimock's playing off the sax reminds me of JGB '89. I hope he sticks around for a while...Oh and thanks to the guy handing out the Bear stickers. We've still got ours!

Subject: nice recording!
this source beats out the MicroTrack recording on etree to my ears... fuller bass reponse and the MT sounds a bit flat when A/B'ed to this one.

Excellent show from what I've heard so far... Kimock definitely raises this band to another level. Great guitar interaction.

Thanks for the sweet taping job and upload, Nick... but you might want to check your spelling next time... see the "Birsdong" above? :)

Subject: Sailor>>>Saint......
The aforementioned, along with the On the Road Again make this a must have...But saying this recording is as good as a SBD,no way,the Red Rocks recording is all that and a bag of chips....Hell the internet feed of this one was much better also.....

Subject: One and only OTRA by Ratdog
I'm surprised nobody mentioned this, but, the only On the Road Again every performed by Ratdog! Makes the show something special doesn't it? I haven't seen RD since the 95 show a the Hampton Casino, and this show jsut brought everything right back. Sick first set!

I didn't have a ticket, but got hooked up at the gate. Thanks bro!! no names to protect the guilty.

I haven't listened to the download yet, but this show was sooooooo hot. smoke pouring out from the opening chord.

Good times, great city. A couple idiots in the crowd, but it was general admission, and I know I'm still walking so I'm sure that I can dance!

Lost/Saint is crazy! Was the highlight for me, until I read the stats on OTRA. Nice jamz, good focus by BW. Bob tore it up that night.

Get it

Subject: Kick Ass!!!
This show is SICK! From the first note Steve plays, you know this is gonna be a big show! His soloing in Cassidy is so powerful and moving.

Bird Song is off the hook! The reaches of the sonic soundscapes in the jam section are beyond limits. I have not heard a Bird Song this inspiring since summer/fall 1989 Grateful Dead. I like the way Bob & Co. space out the verses a bit. Steve's fills are beautiful!

And in this show I get three of my favorite Bob Weir songs - Hell in a Bucket, Sailor>Circumstance, and The Other One. WHOA!!!

Nick, great job! The only quirk is the drums (especially the symbols) sound a little hot, but it's not that bad. The band sounds amazing! Thanks for the love! Peace out.
