No, it was the tapers fault. No question.

Subject: Back In The Saddle?

After hearing some weaker performances (fronting for Allmans, etc.), this concert "feels" and sounds like Weir and crew are back in the saddle. Tight, energized, good balance, nice lineup, cool solos (I do not mind the Jerry-like riffs now and then!).

Bottom line: This is a very good concert. I gave 4 stars only because of the thin "bottom" (bass), but that is not the tapers fault as much as the limits of the mike, placement of speakers, venue, etc. If this was a soundboard, I'd include it with the Top 10 (recent) performances since Skin Pool Lounge.

Nice job with the sound, great concert. I'm grateful to the taper and I am enjoying this show as I ride up and down I-81 in Virginia, albeit with the bass turned way up.
