Definitely a jazz inspired set. Help on the Way sounded great with the sax... Very mellow, which I personally love. Loser was incredible... Derek and Bobby really shred the song, especially the solo. Absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this show to everybody who likes a nice mellow jazz feel.

You have to look at shows as renergy by the detlist. Much of this show was tunes that are low key. Should the show then be attacked as low energy? I think not. Sounds to me that these songs were played with strong feeling or intent, add to it that the ABB were to follow, which tend to be high energy sets and add guests Warren for a few tunes, Derek and Susan and I think you have a quality show. You get one kind of energy with "Truckin or "Miracle" and another kind of energy with "Looks Like Rain or "Loser" DEAD shows were not always about dancing but laying back when Jerry sang Stella Blue"

I agree, this is a mellow, down tempo show, but then, some shows are just mellow and down tempo. It's a good, clear sound, laid back, chill out relax. If you want something raucous and rocking, then this isn't the show. But, if you want something calm and tranquil, then this show is for you.

Aw, come on, if you can't find something to pick on better than how Bob's wearing his hair these days, just shut up. It kind of reminds me of a Warren Zevon comment when he asks a London, U.K. audience "is my hair allright?". Thankfully, listening to the show here, I can't tell whether Bob's coif is ala David Lee Roth, Jerry Garcia or Sarah Palin. Thank Gawd. The relaxed tempo of the show is fine, Bob. Wink, don'tcha' know. Get out there and VOTE!

Wow dude...I went to a fair share of shows and it or the music was not about this kind of negativity. Bobby is stoked to keep playing tunes for heads. Why knock him? I personally really enjoy his singing...Then and Now.
KEEP ROCKING BOB!!!!

Dudes. Bob has lost it. i think he wants to be jerry. he is styling his hair(s) like him, trying to stick his belly out and singing like he's stuck in between jerry and bob.
this show was a reminder of why i have dreaded homeboy for so many decades now. he's just a goof ball.
luckily, except the one tune they invited bob out for, this didn't detract from the slamming Bros. set that came after.
my advice to everyone. stop seeing bob weir. let him go away now. we've had enough.

Oh Dear
Bobby's back on Terrapin mode
very low key performance
it just doesnt work
they should crank it up
Phil's band is blistering
Bobby just doesnt seem to give a shit anymore
Worse than 1980's Dylan
Im off to buy a can of paint and watch it dry
This is from a Deadhead with over 3000 shows

This was an average show at best. Very down-tempo and mellow. I kept wishing the band would kick it up a notch, and when they did speed things up, they would slip back into the slow grove that they began the show with. I guess if you are in a mellow mood, give this show a listen. Some of the band came back during the Allman Brothers set and completed the Help/Slipknot/Franklin's Tower trio with a very nice Franklin's Tower.
As far as this taper goes, he is consistently cranking out top quality work. The sound is outstanding and sounds just like it went down. If you like this one, check out his work on last year's Phil Lesh and Friends when they were at Red Rocks. The sound on that one is every bit as good as the official SBD that you can buy from the band, and in some respects (particularly in picking up the energy from the crowd), it is better. Someone should take up a collection to send him to more shows.

Bob seemed listless, maybe even bored the last couple of times I saw him. Seemed like he had more energy at this show. I sometimes get the feeling he's painting his self into a corner. Not this show. I'll keep going as long as he keeps figuring it out. Hang tough Bobby boy.

This is a superior show. Bobby nailed lyrics, all of them and sounds great. The band is on point, which they normally are but you can here them filling in the cracks a lil more than usual on this one. The guests are just fun to have out. The setlist itself is wonderful. This is a 5 star RD show IMO.

Wish the guests would've been involved a little bit more, for the voices of Warren or Susan were hardly hearable, don't know which guitar should've been Derek's and there's a lack of energy that could be found in other RD shows... But LLRain is one of the most interesting and listenable version ever performed (so far I can tell from the near 300 versions I experienced - GDs Winterland 73 performances hitting the top IMO). So I suggest a medium rating for this show, U know, there were better there were worse... ;-)
