Amen lonesomejohnnie....the criticism of Bobby can really be out of control. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but, c'mon, is some of this really necessary?! If you don't like it - check out the Tower 10.16.09 comments - why do you even go?!? To each their own but to all be kind.

Subject: Bobby Hater's Suck
In my 14 years of following the Dead I never quite understood the vitriol spewed in Bob Wiers's direction. The man is a monster on guitar and musician. Is he Jerry... no. Nobody is or will be. Has Bob's skills deteriorated over time. Au Cerry? The proof is in the 90's This show is a great example of what he can do. I have not been to a Ratdog show since The Mosque in Richmond Thanksgiving Eve in 97 or 98... PLEASE POST THAT SHOW! I dl'ed this one out of curiosity and am not displeased at all. Now I do not agree w/ the arrangement of the Weight, but Kudo's for trying to do something different. Picasso Moon Rocks and St Stephen>The Eleven out and out smokes!! I challenge all Bobby Haters to put on a pair of Headphones and listen to some good SB's or any of the Dicks Picks/Road Trips and focus on what that man does on Guitar. Pure Genius.
