Lineage of the Warren Family that settled in Michigan, USA.
Users should heed the following warning:
This is a major error of this work on p.3. Dr. John Warren of 1753, (brother of Dr. Joseph Warren) married Abigail Collins in 1777. None of these children are theirs.
This John Warren was born Apr 4, 1750 ("Vital Records of Mendon, Massachusetts, to the year 1850", ed. Baldwin, 1920, p. 201), and is not a brother of Dr. Joseph Warren, but did marry Mary Richardson. The two John Warrens are, however, probably distantly related.
Consulting the Warren pedigree chart in the work of Dr. John Collins Warren, his "Genealogy of Warren with some Historical Sketches", published in 1854, there was a distant relative named Richard Warren (d. 1628) who was "one of the first settlers of Plymouth, N[ew] E[ngland]". (See p. 53 for more on Richard Warren.) Another book, a second-hand account of the Plymouth Pilgrims: "New England's Memorial" by Nathaniel Morton, first published in 1669, p. 26, lists Richard Warren, stating he came over alone. Richard Warren seems to have been an original signer of the Mayflower Compact (http://www.pilgrimhall.org/compact.htm). Thus it may be as far back in the line as Richard Warren, if not a more recent generation, that the John Warren meant here, born in 1750, who lived in Deerfield, Oneida Co, NY, is descended.
The other names and information, besides that of John Warren, are believable.
